Blimp week day
i wrote this today i think its mostly accurate with a few minor mistakes but i think you would appreciate it
Blimp Day: (went something like this) Once upon a time there was a young st thomas senior named Jeff Pemberton. He was simply in love with dirigibles and occasionally went to airports just to watch the planes pass over. One day, Jeff’s uncle gave him a call and said that he had a small blimp he needed to get off his hands. Jeff of course, happily obliged his poor blimp-having uncle, and said of course he would take it. There the un-inflated blimp sat on Jeff’s wardrobe for months, as Jeff went to college, played frisbee and did his radio show. Now Jeff loved radio stations just as much as he loved blimps, so he could be found on a regular basis in loras halls sitting in KUST’s studio playing music and video games. KUST was young then, and it’s voice needed to be heard, so Jeff decided that he had just the thing that would yell KUST from the roof tops. His BLIMP. He spent countless hours meticulously cutting out KUST outlines and spray painting the blimp so that KUST shined over his uncles company’s logo on the blimp. On a cold April Day, Jeff came to Pat and Jed, the other KUST leaders, with an idea.”We shall have a Blimp Week. Every day we will fly the blimp over convo hour, shining KUST’s logo all across campus.”How could you say no to that? So the hour was upon them. It was the first day of blimp day week. Jeff went down to party america and got 7 dollars worth of helium for the blimp and brought it to the upper quad. There he found fellow KUST-ers with flags, posters, and bikes ready to promote KUST around campus. However, there was a problem. It was called the wind. The Blimp would be blown into oblivion if it was left to its own devices. So Jeff did some problem solving and tied a rope to the blimp, so it could be controlled by someone from the ground. So blimp week commenced, the blimp flew proudly in the sky and blimp week was beautiful. After awhile however, the wind began to pick up. After a few hitches with the blimp, involving it stuck in several trees, the blimp had undergone quite a lot of punishment.KUST’s current station manager, Sara, was holding the blimp with all her might when suddenly a huge gust of wind blew SEPERATING THE STRING FROM THE BLIMP. Jeff immediately cried out in terror as the blimp starting floating towards JP2. “OH NO OH NO” Cried Jeff as he and Sara chased after it. After reaching Dayton, with the blimp but a tiny speak in the sky, Jeff and Sara knew they had lost the blimp forever. They stood together and watched it fly into the sunset. Blimp day came to an end, everyone sadly returned to their schedules and shed a silent tear for their beloved blimp. Dejen, the soon to be class president, went down into the studio to do his regular show, when he recieved a phone call.Uh yes? he said “Hey is this kust radio?” said a gruff man voice sure is, replied dejen “theres a derigible in my back yard, with your guys name on it.” replied the mysterious man Roy from Shoreview was the mysterious man, and Dejen gathered his contact info and sent it on to Jeff and Jed There began the epic journey to retrieve the lost blimp that had landed over 10 miles away in a Roys backyard.Jeff and Jed quickly drove to Shoreview, as they laughed with joy that their blimp was not lost. They found Roy’s house without much trouble. Getting out of the car they could see Roy was watching sharkweek in his garage, drinking out a XL slushie cup from SA.They went up to them and introduced themselves as KUST members, and Roy offered them some whiskey and coke he himself was mixing with a screw driver in his slushie cup. Jeff and Jed, replied no, a bit uncomfortably and asked if they could see the blimp. Roy took them to his back yard and pointed to a clearing in his woods saying thats where the dirigible landed. He showed them the now deflated blimp and sent them on their merry way. And thats how blimp week day, was started.
